This book traces the journey of loss and hope following the sudden death of my brother. 

The autobiographical tale follows the emotional complexity of facing death, choice and the eventual reconnection to the deceased loved one through organ donation.

From the moment of taking the phone call with news of a brother’s death to the sensitively orchestrated processes of organ donation, the story unfolds through the medium of a sculptural figure called Jizo. Jizo embodies the spirit of lives taken too early and manifests to console the grief of those left behind. 

Jizo humanizes the emotional journey of an ordinary family processing loss, grief and confusion.
